Opened May 1961, closed September 1991.

All that structurally remains is the unusually tall GZI mount situated in a hedgerow near the original compound. It was quite a few metres away from the compound & hatch, so I wouldn’t have wanted to be the person taking the readings if there had ever been a blast!

With crops growing in the field, and clear evidence of ploughing, my guess is the roof/upper walls were completely demolished, but what a lot of work to recover a few square yards of agricultural land.

GZI Mount, the top plate is actually about 6’ above ground!
